Corrections & Feedback
CDL List takes accuracy seriously. If you find an error, outdated regulation citation, broken link to an official source, or any other inaccuracy, please let us know.
What to report
- Factual errors — A regulation is cited incorrectly, a requirement is misstated, or a number (retention period, threshold, deadline) is wrong.
- Outdated information — A rule has changed since the page was last updated.
- Broken official links — A link to an FMCSA, eCFR, state agency, or other official source returns a 404 or redirects to an unrelated page.
- State page issues — An official state CDL agency URL is incorrect or has changed.
- Missing source citations — A compliance claim appears to lack a cited official source.
How to submit a correction
To submit a correction, please email us with the following information:
- The URL of the page with the error
- A description of the error
- The correct information and, if possible, a link to the official source that supports the correction
Note: We cannot provide compliance advice or answer questions about your specific situation. If you have a question about CDL requirements, please contact FMCSA directly at fmcsa.dot.gov/ask or your state CDL agency.
Our corrections process
When we receive a correction submission:
- We verify the reported error against official sources
- If confirmed, we update the page content and the last-updated date
- For significant corrections, we add a correction note to the page
- We aim to process corrections within a reasonable timeframe, prioritizing pages with materially incorrect compliance information
